Important Announcements
Tryouts for those interested in joining the cross country team will be Friday, 9/15 after school and Monday, 9/18 before school at 7:15. We will meet in the gym and travel to the Great Lawn in Central Park together. You only need to attend one tryout. Roster will be posted on Tuesday, 9/19.
Practice Schedule
Practices will be held after school on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will run at the Central Park Reservoir or the East River Run.

NYC Middle School Championships - Both the Wagner Boys and Wagner Girls teams won the City Championship.

District Two Championships - Both the Wagner Boys team and Girls team won the inaugural District Two Championships. Leila Williams-Molitor won the Individual title on the girls side and her, Xion Bacchas, Jamie Wei, Susan Rickman, and Katelyn Ford were named to the All-District Two XC Team. On the boys side, Zakk Lecocq, George Lin, and Ethan Sansolis were named to the All-District Two XC Team.

Manhattan College HS Invitational - Boys finished 6th out of 11 and Girls finished 7th out of 11.
Ten Wagner boys and five Wagner girls came away with medals at the Northeast's most prestigious cross country meet.

CYO Fall Foliage Festival- Both the boys team and girls team won their races.
The boys placed 8 runners in the top 12, including 6th grader Zac Kimmelman, who finished 7th and lowered the 6th grade boys record to 8:11 for 1.25 miles. Impressive performances on the girls side belonged to Madeline Yao and Katelyn Ford, who lowered their personal best times by 1:01 and 0:24, respectively.

CYO Indian Summer Invitational - Both the boys team and girls team won their races.
The girls were led by Leila Williams-Molitor, who became just the 5th girl in Wagner history to break 8 minutes for 1.25 miles. The boys were led by Zakk Lecocq, who finished 2nd overall, and Hugh Kohnhorst, who broke the Wagner 6th grade record, running 8:25 for 1.25 miles.

- Baird Johnson finished 21st at the PSAL NYC Championships, helping his team win the City Title.

- Baird Johnson won the New York City Freshman Championship
- Haley McLean finished 6th in the Section One Class A Championship and qualified for the NYSPHSAA Class A State Championship as an individual.

- Baird Johnson finished 4th at the Manhattan Borough Varsity Championships.
- Caroline Chin finished 7th at the Bronx Borough Varsity Championships.
- Victoria Valasiadis finished 8th at the Manhattan Borough Varsity Championships.
- Haley McLean finished 5th at the Westchester County Varsity Championships to earn All-County Honors. Caitlin finished 19th as their Ursuline squad finished 2nd out of 24 teams.

- Baird Johnson won the PSAL Borough Freshman Championship for Manhattan.
- Caroline Chin, Smiley Hunyh, and Abby Johnson placed 3rd, 15th, and 18th, respectively, at the PSAL Borough Freshman Championship for the Bronx.
- Victoria Valasiadis placed 3rd at the PSAL Borough Freshman Championship for Manhattan.
- Haley and Caitlin McLean earned All-League honors at the Section One League 2B Championships.

- Victoria Valasiadis (Lab) won the Marty Lewis Challenge Freshman race, running 11:05 for 1.5 miles, and outrunning 120 other runners. Caroline Chin (Bronx Science) was 3rd.
- Baird Johnson (Stuyvesant) competed in the Section One Coaches Invitational Varsity 3 Race. He ran 18:44 for 5K and placed 42nd overall.
- Haley and Caitlin McLean led Ursuline to victory in the NYC Cross Country Carnival Freshman Girls Relay.

- Baird Johnson competed in the Varsity B race at the Manhattan Invitational, finishing as Stuyvesant's 4th runner in 68th place. He ran 14:32 over the 4K course.
- Haley McLean (9th, 15:42) and Caitlin McLean (24th, 16:20) helped Ursuline finish 3rd in the Girls Varsity E race at the Manhattan Invitational. Haley's time ranked 76th out of more than 1,000 girls varsity runners.

- Baird Johnson (Stuyvesant) won the NYC Mayor's Cup Freshman I Race with a time of 8:47 for 1.5 miles
- Ramond Lin (HSMSE) finished 49th in the NYC Mayor's Cup Freshman II Race, helping HSMSE win the team race.
- Caroline Chin (3rd) and Smiley Huynh (39th) led Bronx Science to a 2nd place finish in the NYC Mayor's Cup Freshman I race.
- Victoria Valasiadis (Lab) finished 6th in the NYC Mayor's Cup Freshman I Race.
- Wen Trott-Herdrich finished 4th in the NYC Mayor's Cup Freshman II Race, leading her HSMSE team to the victory.

- Haley and Caitlin McLean finished 8th and 10th, respectively, as Ursuline won the Woodlands Invitational

- 2016 graduate Baird Johnson (Stuyvesant) won (out of 207 runners) the Xavier Invitational Freshman boys race in a time of 8:38.
- 2016 graduates Wen Trott-Herdrich (7th, HSMSE), Victoria Valasiadis (8th, Lab), Caroline Chin (9th, Bronx Science), Abby Johnson (20th, Bronx Science), and Smiley Huynh (25th, Bronx Science) all finished in the top 25 (out of 115 runners) in the PSAL Group Run Freshman girls race.
- Haley and Caitlin McLean ran their first high school varsity race at the Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational in Jackson, NJ. Haley finished 3rd and Caitlin finished 6th, both breaking 20 minutes for 5k. Their Ursuline team won the race. Haley's time of 19:17 was the 11th fastest time out of over 500 varsity runners.

- 2016 graduates Haley McLean and Caitlin McLean finished 1st and 3rd, respectively, out of 174 runners in the Villa Bears Invitational Freshman Race, leading their team, Ursuline, to the victory.
