Student Learning Conferences
Wagner’s Student Learning Conferences are scheduled for this month. These conferences give parents/guardians a chance to connect with teachers regarding their student’s progress. Letters were already sent out by your grade-level Assistant Principals via Operoo with instructions and links for the virtual sessions. If you are having issues getting a time slot, please reach out to your student’s teacher directly.

NYC Survey
Every year, families, teachers, staff, and students in grades 6-12 are asked to take the NYC School Survey. The survey gives school leaders a better understanding of what members of their school community think about their school. The information collected by the survey is designed to support a dialogue among all members of the school community about how to make the school a better place to learn.
The surveys were sent home with students last week. Families have the option to fill out the survey online or on paper. If on paper, the survey can be turned in to Wagner or sent in the included self-addressed stamped envelope. Families can login to their NYSCA account to complete the online NYC School Survey or click here - https://surveys.panoramaed.com/nycdoe/login
The deadline to collect the NYC School Survey is March 31st.

Attendance Policy
The Department of Education has implemented a new system to alert families when their students are absent from school. When a student is marked absent from school, the family will receive a text message. Please note that attendance is taken at 8:40 am. This means that if your child arrives at school late, you will still receive a text stating they are absent.
Students who arrive after 8:40am will be marked absent for the morning and present for the afternoon. Please encourage your student to be at morning arrival by 8:35 each day.
………………………………………………………………………
To Report an Absence
If your child is absent, please email your their advisory teacher and their guidance counselor. Once your student returns to school, have them bring a note into the main office stating the reason for the absence. The guidance counselors’ emails are as follows:
6th Grade - Ms. Block - ABlock6@schools.nyc.gov
7th Grade - Ms. Onwudiwe - DOnwudiwe@schools.nyc.gov
