Gentle Reminders

Please do not drop off items for your child during the school day. We will not accept homework, lunches, gym clothes, etc. We do not want to disrupt class learning, and we want middle school students to be responsible for having everything they need for school.

School hours are 8:40am - 3:00pm.  Students may not leave school by themselves before the end of the school day. If they need to leave early, they must be checked out by an adult on their Emergency Blue Card.

Children MAY NOT be checked out of school during their lunch period.

8th Grade Audition & Portfolio Prep

Wagner Middle School is pleased to offer Audition and Portfolio Prep sessions this fall for 8th grade students who are planning to apply to instrumental, performing and/or visual arts programs at select NYCDOE high schools that require an audition or portfolio for admission.

Wagner will be offering Audition and Portfolio Prep sessions in person during period 6 lunch and/or after school. All sessions are taught by Wagner arts teachers. The fall 2022 Audition and Portfolio Prep sessions are for current Wagner 8th graders only. We will accommodate as many students as possible in our sessions. If more students sign up than we have available seats, we may offer sessions with less frequency (e.g., on alternating weeks rather than weekly) in order to allow more students to participate. The schedule and link for registration will be shared this week on students’ Advisory Google Classrooms and with families through Operoo; sessions will begin the week of October 10th.
